Duck Hunting So Good, I'd Rather Work

Got out for about 90 minutes before meetings began and never shouldered the Benelli.  Never even had a duck within 100 yards of me in blind 11.

But hey, it was one hell of a sunrise.

Note on Parking in Main Lot on Thursday, 12/14/23

Please don't park near the yellow pipe, pictured below, in the main lot.  The club is bringing in more gravel to cover the muddy area near that pipe on Thursday.

Water Situation as of Sunday 12/10/23

I went back out on Sunday, and it was horrible.  One Teal for my trouble.  We did end up with four birds on Saturday, adding a Pintail and Teal to our "Only Divers" designation.

I'd say we are 90% to 95% flooded.  If you look at the map, there are two fields South of us in Blind 11.  The field immediately to our south is about two-thirds flooded.  That last field on the Southern border is only about one-third flooded.

Welcome to the Riego Ram Site

Two of us went out to Blind 11 on Saturday.  It was slow, but not as slow as we expected.  The first two ducks of the year were a Goldeneye and a Scaup.  What in the hell?  Right then and there, we decided we needed a special logo for Blind 11.
